Remember Dolly Parton with the front page East Tennessee will never forget
One word says it all. The Knoxville News Sentinel devoted its Wednesday, August 26, 2026 front page to a single towering message, LOVE, with Dolly Parton standing inside the letters in a red and pink fringed stage dress, microphone in hand. The page carries the dates 1946 to 2026 and a simple line of tribute: "Legendary singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist and best dang human being." Parton died on August 25, 2026, at age 80.
This reproduction preserves the way her hometown paper said goodbye. The text at the bottom reads: "The Great Smoky Mountains girl who became a worldwide icon never lost sight of her country roots. She died peacefully at 80." Generations of News Sentinel reporters and photographers covered Parton and Dollywood over the years, and this page is the culmination of that long East Tennessee relationship.
Printed on your choice of premium paper, canvas, metal, or framed in several finishes, it is a striking vertical piece for a living room, home office, music room, or studio. Give it to the Dolly fan who has every album, the Tennessee transplant who still calls the Smokies home, or anyone who believes a life can be summed up in four letters. Available in multiple sizes and framing options.
Note: This is a reproduction of the Knoxville News Sentinel’s front page, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the estate of Dolly Parton.
