How is wall art sized?

When you order wall art, you pick the size you want from a dropdown. Here's what those sizes mean.

Print only

The sizes listed are the size of the print. If you order the print only, that's the size you'll receive. For example, a 16x24 inch selection is a print 16 inches by 24 inches.

Framed

A frame adds width and height to the print size. On smaller sizes the frame extends 0.875 inches on all sides, and on larger sizes it extends 1.5 inches on all sides. For example, a 16x24 inch print with a 0.875 inch frame comes to 17.75 by 25.75 inches. The image extends to the edge of the frame, and there's no matting by default. The print ships inside the frame with mounting hardware on the back, so framed art arrives ready to hang.

Matting

Some of our product images show prints in matted frames. Those show customers who ordered the print only and had it custom framed and matted locally, which we encourage, since a local frame shop is best suited to matting. We can also do a custom mat for you; get in touch for a quote. Custom matting typically adds 30% to the order.

Canvas

If you order a canvas, the size listed is the size of the finished canvas, stretched over a 1.5 inch deep frame.
