Four hits. First game. Opening Day history. Kevin McGonigle never played above Double-A. The Tigers called him up anyway, stuck him in the Opening Day lineup at Petco Park on March 26, 2026, and he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs, and two RBIs in an 8-2 win over the Padres. He's one of six players in modern MLB history to collect four hits in a debut on Opening Day, and the only one wearing the Old English D. This Detroit Free Press front page is the one Tigers fans woke up to the next morning.
Available as a fine art print, stretched canvas, or metal print. Archival-quality materials, ready to hang.
