Honor Russell Westbrook’s Thunder legacy with this front page
Zero was never just a number in Oklahoma City. It belonged to Russell Westbrook, the guard who wore it for 11 seasons with the Thunder and played every minute like the building might tip over. On Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, he announced he was retiring from the NBA after 18 seasons, and the next morning The Oklahoman answered with two words across the front page: "0 REGRETS."
This print reproduces The Oklahoman front page from Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026. The dominant image shows Westbrook in his No. 0 jersey slapping hands with fans after a game against the Milwaukee Bucks at Chesapeake Energy Arena on April 4, 2017, the season he won his MVP award. Beneath the headline, columnist Jenni Carlson writes about the summer he re-signed with the Thunder a month after Kevin Durant left, and the line that stuck with a city: "I love Oklahoma City." The subhead says the rest: Thunder icon Westbrook retires from NBA, forever beloved in OKC.
Printed on your choice of paper, canvas, metal, or framed formats, it hangs well in a living room, home office, basement bar, or anywhere a Thunder fan keeps their history. It also makes a strong gift for the fan who watched the triple-double years happen in real time, whether the occasion is a birthday, a graduation, or a holiday. Choose your size and finish above.
Note: This is a reproduction of The Oklahoman’s front page, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA or the Oklahoma City Thunder.
