Robert. M. Wyckoff delivers "tidings of antiquity" in this wonderful collection of stories of the people and events that helped shape Western Nevada County.
Wyckoff has been part of The Union newspaper family 45 of its 143 years. He worked as a staff photographer, wrote features, and did half-tones and burned press plates. A fourth-generation Californian, Wyckoff has always been a student of history, so it was logical that he would ultimately marry his love for storytelling. Most of the stories in this book were drawn from Wyckoff's own experiences during his 48 years in Nevada County.
