“Spokane’s Best When Lilac Dressed” 50th year

I was a member of the court of 1988 which was also the 50th year of the Lilac Festivities. I was sure we would be highlighted in this book. All there was, was a picture of Darci Banta and Our president. There were no pictures of the 50th court. I was very disappointed. But my father, George Meier, who passed 3 years ago was mentioned as a jeweler who re-made the crown in more recent years. My Mother who was a Royalty Chaperone for many years doesn’t appear to have a picture or mention unless I missed it. With a family so involved with the association, I assumed it would have a more personal meaning to me. But overall, the book is nicely made and gives a great deal of history.
