Due to popular demand, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is pleased to announce a new second volume in our hardcover book series, “Fort Worth Memories II: The 1940s, '50s and '60s.”
This heirloom-quality book will feature historic photos of life in and around Fort Worth from the 1940s through the 1960s. Collections from partnering organizations and contributions from our readers will make this book a unique pictorial retrospective of our community.
I just had to let you know right away that I received a very pleasant surprise at my front door on Saturday, November 16. My Fort Worth Memories Volume II book arrived at least three weeks earlier than I expected! I am so thrilled. I immediately stopped what I was doing and read every page - twice - and am so very happy to have this book. What a great job you all did in organizing photos and facts.
This Is very timely to receive it before Thanksgiving, as most of my family will be here that day and I’ll get to share this wonderful book with my only, older sister and two younger generations of our family. I’m sure the younger ones will be surprised at a great many of the pictures and stories in this wonderful book.
Thank you for a happy trip down memory lane. So many of those pictures brought back fond memories of my childhood in Fort Worth.
