My Gator world was nothing short of a frenzy when Florida basketball rose to the top winning the National Championship. I’m 78 years old, but my excitement surely rivaled any UF Senior. I instantly longed for championship gear of all kinds, and made the purchases. After hats and tees for myself and family, I saw a notice about a publication titled CHOMP-IONS! Loving the title, but basically unaware of what the product would be, I placed an order. Understandably, the wait was lengthy, but then it arrived. All sorts of emotions and reactions rushed through my veins as I turned each page. Even now, words to describe this book do not come close to what my heart feels. Though not a UF graduate, yet a GATOR to the core since 1987 (thank you Emmitt Smith), this book is and will be a prized possession along side many inspiring treasures I have obtained through many years. How, and to whom do I express my heartfelt thanks? First and foremost, my hat tips to The Gainesville Sun and USA TODAY. Secondly the lineup of editors, reporters, strategists, designers and especially the gifted photographers, whose magic will bring life to these pages for years to come. For a closing remark, to think that I paid less than $50 for this masterpiece boggles my mind. ONCE A GATOR, ALWAYS A GATOR!🧡💙
