The photo depicts cars making their way up and down Mount Rubidoux shortly after Huntington Drive was built in 1906.

Henry E. Huntington, Frank Miller, and Charles M. Loring formed the Huntington Park Association in 1906 to buy and develop Mount Rubidoux as a park. Although Huntington Drive cannot accommodate modern automobiles, Mount Rubidoux is still a popular place for pedestrian visitors.
