The Edisto Memorial Gardens are a must-see attraction in Orangeburg, SC. The Gardens are located on a historical Civil War site and is named to honor Orangeburg area veterans from World War I and II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

The park lies along the Edisto River and in the 1920s, five acres of azaleas were planted to add to the natural beauty of the area. Soon after the Gardens expanded with a playground, a greenhouse and eventually its first roses in 1951.

Today the Edisto Memorial Gardens cover 175 acres and has over 4,800 rose plants.
