Allegany County Fairgrounds: 100 Years Scanning Sessions
We are thrilled to give our readers the opportunity to submit historic photos for our upcoming “Allegany County Fairgrounds: 100 Years” book project.
Residents will have an opportunity to have the memories and photos of families included in this collector's item. Do you have a picture of your dad shaking hands with Mario Andretti? Maybe, it’s you as a child — or your grandmother as a child — waving from the top of the Ferris wheel. Did you have a blue ribbon cow? A blue ribbon jam? Was your great-grandmother a 4-H’er when 4-H started in 1902? Your family’s history is part of the county’s history, and, particularly, in this case, can become a part of the published history of the Allegany County fairgrounds.

Submission Guidelines
- Color or black-and-white photos welcomed.
- Photos taken from 1924 through present day.
- Photos only — preferably original photos (no newspaper clippings or photocopies).
- Photos taken in Allegany County Fairgrounds.
- One submission form per photo.
- Bring your photos to one of the scheduled scanning sessions.
