Valley Memories

When Disaster Strikes in the Upper Valley

Limited quantity available.

The Valley has had its share of disasters from recent years to dating back into the late 1800s: the unforgettable Hurricane Sandy in 2012; the fiery explosion that destroyed the Nugget Theatre in Hanover in 1944; the catastrophic Great Blizzard of 1888; or the terrifying White River Junction train wreck that killed dozens in 1887.

Get the book that showcases how the wide array of calamities that have struck Lebanon, West Lebanon, Hartford, Norwich, and Hanover inspire the indomitable spirit of the community to rise when needed.
