The Las Vegas Review-Journal is pleased to present this hardcover coffee-table book, "Las Vegas and Clark County Memories: A Photographic History of the 1940s – 1960s."
This heirloom-quality, 160-page book features a glimpse of life in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s in stunning historic photos from local archives as well as never-before-published submissions from our readers.
I am a little disappointed in the book. I have found a lot from the ‘50s, but very little from the ‘60s. I moved to Las Vegas in 1962 and attended Las Vegas High school. I transferred to Western High school in 1962/63. So for me, I would have liked Moe if the sixties.
Great illustrations of the early days, would love to see one from the 1960s - 1990s to show how the Strip changed.
