Continuing our popular Denver Memories series of hardcover books, The Denver Post is proud to announce a third volume focused on the Greater Denver area in the 1950s.
"Denver Memories III: The 1950s" will feature nostalgic images of Denver during this eventful decade, including street scenes, education, public service celebrations and commerce.
This is a wonderful book to have around and to enjoy. This is the 3rd book and now I’ve got them all. Brings back good memories of growing up here in Denver. Way to go looking forward to the next one.
Denver Memories III brought back a lot of memories for me of when I was living in Denver back in the 50's and early 60's. Stirs up a lot of stories from my life. I hope you'll be putting out Denver Memories IV: The 60's.
Purchased the entire set for my mother, a Denver native. She looks at these books every day! They stimulate her to tell stories about her life, to recall how the city has changed, and to want to visit Denver again.
There is on line thing missing in the book -- Beck's Flowers -- my dad Fred Beck was the largest retail florist in Denver from the late 1940's into the 1980"s. He started the flower refrigerators in the hospitals as well as the Brown Palace.
